Chak De! India is mainly life story of a disgraced Captain of Indian Hockey team. Movie starts with a final between India and Pakistan, in which eventually India lose the Gold to Pakistan!!, The Captain, by name Kabir Khan (India's most successful Centre Forward), made scape goat by circumstances and the media.

After a seven long years gap, Kabir returns to Hockey as the coach of Indian National Women's Hockey team. He choses to be the coach only to remove his gaddar tag and prove that he is not a outsider.

His approach to training is simple, start from the very basic things , fitness. and the discipline. The coach has the tough job to unite them and make them play as a team and for a team.Unlike previous sport-themed movies Lagaan, Iqbal, this one talks about a team than an Individual. Thats what is lacking in current Cricket team too !!

Shahrukh as coach has delivered a brilliant performance and this time he did it better than Swades! His acting clearly portrais the sportman in him. SRK as a hockey coach is very inspiring, frustrated and dejected at times and mostly buried under the 'bhoj' of his earlier defeat. His wonderful acting is superlated by few very clever dialogues.If Shah Rukh the star, pulled you to the cinema hall, it's Shah Rukh the actor, who is gonna keep you gripped.

Sure, you know what's going to happen, at the end, still its the journey is what worth watching. I've not mentioned about few negatives, such as a poor commentator in the world cup and only ground view of Hockey match, as they are very negligible and have little impact.


A must watch for all the Movie fans esp if You like SRK !!
